Mules are hands down one of the most popular cocktails today- in fact I imagine that you could add any spirit or flavor to a mule and it would sell like hotcakes. The funny thing is that the mule is a totally fabricated drink created to move a back stock of ginger beer at the Cock ‘n’ Bull bar in Los Angeles in 1941. Even the iconic copper cup was part of the marketing ploy to make the drink stand out from other cocktails. Regardless of this fact, we are always more than happy to enjoy a mule or two on any given evening.
