Rum is one of those spirits that is underutilized in classic cocktails that are not “tropical” by nature. Rumbullion, or rum for short, is made by fermenting molasses, the leftover product from processing sugar cane. It has been a product of the Caribbean since the 17th century. It is a beautifully complex yet smooth spirit and can embody all of the delicious flavors of a region. Rum is not region specific and can be made anywhere in the world.
We love the rum in this Old Fashioned and how it plays so well with the Spiced Cherry Vanilla mixer.
