To smooth the transition from Halloween to red & green, we begin our series with Tim Burton’s classic, proving that Santa’s struggle is real, y’all! We’ve put together three themed drinks and one nosh for all to enjoy while watching the misadventures of Jack Skellington – The Pumpkin King.
A couple of fun facts about the film…
The story began as a three-page-poem Tim Burton wrote back in the early-80’s when he was a Disney animator. It was inspired by the Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and How the Grinch Stole Christmas television specials along with the poem “A Visit from St. Nicholas”.
Actor Vincent Price, best known for his chilling voice and numerous roles in horror films, was originally cast as Santa Claus. Problems with his health and the loss of his wife negatively affected his voiceover skills, and eventually they had to recast the role.
