The Christmas classic, A Christmas Story finds Ralphie asking for a Red Ryder BB Gun from Santa. Full of all of the angst of growing up and wanting that one present SO MUCH, this movie has all of the great holiday characters; a crazy dad, worn out mom, and annoying little brother. Add to that the bitter cold and snow of Michigan, and you have perfect holiday chaos.
When it is chaotic, cold, and snowy, this is our go to cocktail. Our Honey Lavender Elixir was designed as a hot toddy mixer. Medicinal, soothing, and delicious. It works best with gin, but feel free to use whatever spirit you fancy. So good it must be Italian.
Fra-gee-lay Toddy
1.5 oz Gin
1 oz grapefruit juice
1 oz Honey Lavender Elixir
Squirt Lemon Juice
Fill the mug with hot water to warm. Once warm, dump water and add all ingredients. Top with boiling water and garnish with lemon or grapefruit wedge or peel.
